THE SITUATION OF ETHNIC GROUPS IN COLOMBIA

ethnic and cultural diversity by recognizing the right to equality and establishing
the obligation to promote the conditions for such equality to be real and effective in terms of the
situation of discriminated or marginalized groups.
Despite this normative recognition, ethnic groups are targets of violence
derived from the armed conflict, individually and collectively, which jeopardizes their autonomy and their
territorial and cultural rights. During 2010 the IACHR continued to receive information on the
situation of violence that particularly affects indigenous peoples and community councils and
Afro-descendant communities, in certain regions of the country.

Current risk of disappearance of numerous indigenous peoples.

and therefore we want the people who see this blog to change their way of thinking about the different cultures and races of our country, and that above all they find equality in our country.
